Nasir

Syead Wahabuddin Nasir was born and brought up in Patna. He holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Science and Management from Patna University and has graduated from the Patna Science College in Botany Honours. He has visited many Tiger Reserves, National Parks, and Wildlife Sanctuaries in India and abroad. For the past decade, he has been a frequent visitor to the famous Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve in Madhya Pradesh, India. Since his childhood days, the author has been captivated by the tigers. During his schooldays, he wrote a detailed account of his visits to the popular Corbett and Ranthambhore Tiger Reserves, which got published as a book entitled Wonderful Days in Tiger Lands. Later, when he was doing graduation, he wrote a very interesting book, The Tiger: Keeper of the Forest, which was based on his repeated visits to the jungles of Central India and during the M.Sc. period, he penned another informative book, Tiger: The Soul of the Wild to share the experiences he gained through the multiple trips to the different National Parks and Tiger Reserves across India and Nepal. Recently his fourth and fifth books entitled Glimpses From The Wild I: In Search Of… and Glimpses From The Wild II: The Fascinating Stripes have been published. His works highlight striking facts related to our National Animal and feature riveting episodes of his encounter with the numerous other denizens of the wild. At present, the author is indulged in studying wildlife and he actively takes part in awareness campaigns for the conservation of tigers and their invaluable natural habitats. He aspires to become a sincere and dedicated India Forest Service (IFS) officer to contribute his best in the sustainable conservation of wildlife.
